About the company

History

Origins of the business.

Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowe GOLBALUX was established on 1 October 1994 by registering a business. In 2007, the company was transferred as an in-kind contribution to Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowe GOLBALUX Sp. z o.o. The company's operation has never been suspended, and the scale of its activities has been and continues to be systematically increased, despite the repeated stagnation in the broadly defined wood and construction sector. In the early days, the company was mainly involved in the production of building structures and furniture components for the domestic market, as well as for export to Denmark, Germany, Sweden, France and Italy. The company owners' experience gained abroad was successfully used to enter foreign markets and to purchase new machinery. In 1998 and the following years, facilities of more than 4 hectares were acquired. The existing land included storage facilities, workshop and mechanical halls, utility sheds and a two-storey office building, which over time was converted into housing for employees.

Successful investments, dynamic growth.

In 2003, the company decided to invest in a state-of-the-art wood drying facility, computer-controlled via the MMSD-02 microprocessor. This investment proved to be very successful for GOLBALUX and was a milestone for the company's development. Another investment was the purchase of new woodworking machines, an automatic extraction system and a set of air filters with a wood waste store. Thanks to such measures, GOLBALUX was ahead of the competition and gained new markets for its products. As the company grew, the production range was extended to include the construction of timber houses in various manufacturing technologies. Innovative woodworking techniques and the use of modern machinery allowed GOLBALUX to create beautiful and warm houses, whose interiors have a unique charm and a healthy and human-friendly microclimate.

In 2010, PPHU GOLBALUX Sp. z o.o. applied to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland for patent protection of the industrial design PT: "Knotted corner of the wooden façade of a house". In 2012, the Patent Office granted industrial property rights to PPHU GOLBALUX Sp. z o.o. under registration no. - 17133.

In 2014, GOLBALUX signed a framework agreement for innovative research and development services with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) (Partner: Department of Wood Products Construction and Technology, Department of Technology and Entrepreneurship in the Wood Industry).

In 2015, GOLBALUX again filed an application with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland under the name 'Method of manufacturing a structural element and a structural component' developed jointly with SGGW in Warsaw. Subsequently, the company launched its own research and development department and further strengthened its cooperation with the university. As a result of these joint activities, GOLBALUX has increased the range of products on offer, in particular with new, innovative and significantly improved products for the construction of the wall, the ceiling, the external charcoal for the side and corner walls of a timber house and the 40 mm thick internal timber half-bal with stick-on cladding.

In 2016, GOLBALUX won the Podkarpackie Economic Award in the best product category "Energy-efficient Wooden Houses".

In 2016 and 2017, the plant was extensively modernised and a new production hall, logistics rooms and technical facilities were built. Further chamber and vacuum dryers for thermal wood processing were invested in and utility sheds were built. The new production hall was equipped with a state-of-the-art and innovative CNC carpentry centre with a modern line for the prefabrication of houses.

In 2018, the competition LIDERZY REGION was held in Rzeszów. In the "Construction" category, the jury singled out the GOLBALUX house factory for its innovative technology for the production of timber houses and for its very good performance compared to its competitors in the market.

GOLBALUX is a leader with a far-reaching vision of modernity in the construction of energy-efficient timber houses. The solutions offered by the company were presented during trade fairs held in Kraków - organised by the Wooden House Association. GOLBALUX also participated in the International Building Fair in Rzeszów and the LUBDOM Fair in Lublin. Innovative prefabricated building solutions offered under the GOLBALUX brand are available on the market and enjoy a very high level of interest.

GOLBALUX is visited by various university and technical school visitors. Our house factory was seen, among others, by pupils of the third class of the Technical Building School Complex in Jarosław. The students had the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies for building energy-efficient houses and about the production of roof trusses connected by studs. The field classes were conducted by the deputy director, Joanna Gierczak, M.Sc. Dorota Przytocka, M.Sc. and Wojciech Bartnik, M.Sc. A group of participants of postgraduate studies at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geotechnics, majoring in "Modern Wooden Construction", also visited the plant. The guest of honour was the head of the studies, Prof. Andrzej Więckowski, PhD. Participants in the visit were introduced to theoretical and practical knowledge of the organisation of work execution, prefabrication production and design in the area of timber construction. The company also presented a wide range of acoustics and insulation, as well as prefabrication electrical installation. The guests had the opportunity to learn about modern timber prefabrication, and it was also an opportunity to see a modern roundwood cutting line and state-of-the-art heat treatment technology for structural elements. The summary of the visit to the GOLBALUX factory could only be one: "The modern and innovative solutions will remain in the visitors' memories for a long time," concluded Prof. Andrzej Więckowski. Mrs Halina Golba, President, invited the Professor to further visits by groups of students of the postgraduate course "Contemporary Wood Construction".

Strategy, plans and business partners.

At present, the GOLBALUX house factory is working intensively on the development of its sales network. We are in talks with potential distributors both in Poland and abroad. The company intends to focus on the development of the offered solutions and place their sales in the hands of professionals with extensive commercial experience. The factory is also developing repeatable production, we create prefabricated and modular houses that can be configured based on the needs of the client, as the final customer. Companies starting to work with our factory can count on product training, technical and marketing support at every stage of the sales process. Our main focus is on export, which creates greater opportunities to generate profitability. It gives the possibility to diversify sales channels and does not cause dependence on one market too. We have a broad vision and ambitious development plans. We are preparing further investments that will soon be noticed. We have established cooperation with several contractors and are selling houses to Sweden, Germany, Belgium and France. We are very happy to cooperate in these markets. We are focused on increasing our sales volume together with taking advantage of trends promoting ecological and energy-saving solutions and renewable energy sources in modern wooden construction.

Our house factory, is a large family business. Together we employ almost 100 people. For 25 years, we have worked with the State Forests, which are our foundation, like the foundation for a house. We work with a number of construction companies, transport companies and, in particular, companies that manufacture woodworking machinery and tools. We belong to the Association of Wooden Houses and to the Association of Energy-Efficient Finished Houses. We greatly value our cooperation with these associations. They provide us with a great deal of knowledge and assistance on many issues of modern construction and innovative solutions needed in the daily production of house building.
